windscreen , repair or replace?

i have a 5" crack near my a pillar. i am covered by my insurance for repair /renewal. what i would like to know is will it be repaired or replaced?

it is autoglass who will do the work

get gavin from autoglass to do it, he will then drive off in his van doing 6mph on the roundabout.

I'm not trained in windscreen repair but a 5" crack sounds like a replacement is needed.

cheers , was not too keen on a repair. the car has done 107k miles so is peppered with small marks all over the screen. so it will be nice to look through a nice clear screen

I suspect your crack is too big for Gavin to fill. I'm sure he'd tear fit you a new one!
