What car thread for my Gummies

So the folks are probably going to buy their 'last' new or nearly new car and dont know what to go for.

Both getting older and I was thinking something upright, economical and comfortable above all. Easy in and out is vital and not too small or big.

Nothing exotic but initially thought of maybe an A Class Merc? looks easy access at first glance. 3 door for bigger doors.

The old girl has had a new hip and the old fella is a little overweight (and slightly infirm but doesnt drive anymore - 18/19 st)

Any ideas? Maybe an upright Meriva or some such?
