Multi-car insurance policies

Having spoken to Admiral it seems that I can't use my NCD on two cars at the same time. I'm unsure what the benefit of their muti-car policies are apart from having a consolidated premium.

Having searched on here there seems to be mention that some brokers do offer mirrored NCDs. Has anyone had any experience of this?

Although the NCD had to be kept seperate dad found that it reduced the premiums for both his cars and moms by about 10% I think vs standard policy price!

Not sure about places that let your mirror the NCD though.

We run 3 cars on an Admiral policy, when putting car 3 on although they didn't mirror the existing no claims they did give something like a 4 year discretionary bonus reduction on it.

Overall the Multicar policy is cheaper than having 3 separate policies....just watch out at renewal, they have a tendancy to increase the premium beyong what you'd pay for individual cars....quick bit of online checking and 'confirming the cover' and low and behold it drops! They're just hoping you'll renew without checking and they'll make a few extra £££
