Was reading Evo yesterday and there was a little section asking people to write in and tell the readers what [little] things/idiosyncharcies/quirks they like about their car.

My car:

T-reg Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI

I like the flip out double cup holders just above the ashtray. It's little details like that that make me spending time in my car, especially on a cold day and I've got somewhere to put my hot coffee on the way to work. Splendid.

Please, do all share.

Lotus Elise S2 111S: I like the sound the seatbelt socket makes if you snag it getting in or out. Think flicked ruler over the desk at school, just much better smile

Monaro VXR

I like the sound of the heater/aircon fan.

It sounds like the air con on a plane. (To me anyway!)

Oh, and the V8 bit biggrin

I like the view from inside the car of the buttresses and the way the rear glass devides inside/outside. Rather Grand Designs esque.

BMW E28

The massive series of clunks when the central locking operates.

The smooth torque delivery of the six banger.

The drug dealer look.

That even though its a citroen c4 coupe, it is remarkable well specced
Digital Aircon
Get you home lights fucntion
Rear armrest
Seat belt holders built into the catch to lift the front seats up
12v thingy
Centre armrest cubby hole
About 5 million cubby holes(it seems that way, i keep finding new ones)
Its relatively economical if driven sensibly
Its relatively cheap to tax and insure
Multi function trip computer
Controls for stereo and dimming of dash lights on steering wheel

Just a pity its a citroen really

no really getting the whole "little things" thing are we.

We've currently got a 2.2i Astra SRI, it's a very good car, it handles well, does 35mpg, it's quick enough, lots of room and reasonably well built.

I can't think of a single thing I really like about it though. No little quirks.

Nope. Nothing

I love the fact that it feels like a blacmange on the track, but it feels taut and sweet handling on the road. I love the little eighties buzzer that goes off when you turn the lights off. I love the power delivery and I even love the rust.

I don't love the camchain rattle...

Merc V8s always have great sounding starter motors.

And I love how, despite the C43's very firm suspension, the V8 makes the car rock when it first fires up.

I like that if you have the wipers on and you select reverse it automatically turns on the rear wiper.

Says the man who then goes onto list a very similar list as mine confused

OK - little things..

I like the silky smooth operation of the 12v power / cigarette lighter.

That too - I love when mine starts / when you tap the throttle at traffic lights, as the whole car rocks from side to side biggrin
