Bad driving, complete nut case. Makes one think

Yesterday witnessed a bit of driving that made me go cold. It was on a narrow two lane road between Holmfirth and the stocks bridge by pass. I catch up on a four by four pulling a large box trailer, he was not hanging about and I was happy to tag on behind him. We come to a blind corner that has a short straight to another blind corner, and behold a car appears in my mirror it's one I had passed some miles ago, he was giving it some licks. My first thought was brake give the nutter room to pull in front of me as he was along side of me. No need he passed me and the trailer and four by four heading toward the second blind corner, I thought here we go this will be messy . Fortunatley he made it. It's a road I use on a regular basis and often travel the opposite way to this bloody nutter never expecting some one coming toward me at 60 plus on my side of the road.
It is a sobering thought

Apparently cars can go slower and faster at the decision of the driver once a journey has started and are not fixed to a single speed for any given journey.I know. It was a shock to me as well.

once a journey has started, you put your foot to the floor, only red and blue lights tell you when to brake.

Because earlier he wasn't !I don't know why people do this, but I see it quite a lot. I assume it's down to them either not realising how slowly they were going in the first place, or perhaps not knowing the road (and therfore how much faster they could drive on it)

Sounds to me like the twunt driver had something to prove after you had passed him earlier. I assume from your profile you were driving a 911? Some people (with low a IQ) will do anything to be able to say they overtook a Porsche / Ferrari / Whatever on such & such road, even if it means risking a fatal accident.
I have been overtaken by some unbelievably crappy low powered cars whilst sitting behind a dawdling caravan, simply because I'm not willing to pass going into a blind bend or approaching the brow of a hill.

Had the same happen last week and was the first time I actually thought about ringing the police. She over took coming out of Halifax and almost hit me, I wasn't too happy so to get away from me she overtook through stump cross traffic lights almost hitting 3 more cars.
Her journey must have been cut by atleast 5 minutes!!!
