ICE - Tech question Megane R26

Ive ventured back into front wheeled ownership, fancy some jumping five feet to the left on exits from roundabouts - yep I guess...dropped one of the M's..
Needed a car with low miles and low cost but would work as the M5 E39 wasnt up for 1k miles a week etc...
anyhow -
ICE im looking at incar replacement front ends wih bluetooth and ipod built in. But firstly need to know as Ive had conflicting reports.
Do I need an incar facia when the old stereo comes out and a new Din stereo goes in. Halfords against my reg said yes, and a local big indi said no...
Car is an R26 2007 Megane.
