So, you are selling your P+J, you put a nice big premium ad in various papers, online etc. Someone rings up to enquire and you arange time date blah blah. They arrive and it's Clarkson/Hammond/May!
Now u know they are probably gonna modify, break, destroy your car! But they are gonna pay asking price, no hasstle or haggling.
So my question..Would you, wouldn't you??

once its up for sale its no longer a P&J. move on the minute you put it up for sale. from that point on its a box that you want to sell for as much as possible

in case of TG turning up I'd ask another couple of hundred to keep quiet about what type of car they'd just bought....

I'd agree to sell them the car on the basis I got front row viewing for that episode of the series, a couple of laps of the track in the reasonably priced car, whatever car they were testing and some pax rides with the Stig, also behind the scenes access and ten minutes in a locked room with a shaver and hammond and stupid hair-do!

However, as it will be a Top Gear minion who purchases the cars and not one of the three prats who present would I be that bothered?

it's not worth more then afew hundred quid, so gladly. Even more so if they keep it as a display and take it onto tours/car shows.

I would sell it, of course. When you are selling a car, it's with the understanding that it's gone and not coming back. I wouldn't sell a car and think "I hope the owner keeps it in good nick because I might be interested in buying back off them sometime".
