Sorry had to use the wrong spelling of "Quick" in order to appease the "name and shame" pedants hehe

So in theory, now that they are being investigated and the public eye is on them, is now the best time to use them for the quick small things like oil and filter change etc - if the prices are competitive (which they, on rare occasions, are?)

I still never would, mainly because I do the work myself, or have a trusted clever mate who would do the work I couldn't - I am thinking of Mrs Miggins with her standard Vauxhall whatever.

I guess if you are completely clueless then you have nothing to lose. Otherwise nuke them from orbit.

Go to National tyres if you want a cheapo oil and filter change.

Look on the website, is cheaper than buying the oil yourself.

I'm using them as a last resort tomorrow for an MOT on my MX-5 (the only place that could fit me in at short notice). I know for a fact it doesn't need anything done and even if it does I'll do it myself.... it'll be interesting to see if anything comes up though!

Excuse me sir, your front nearside brake disc is pitted, you'll need new discs and pads on the front. Please bend over...

Oh goody, I'll get them to do the pads at the same time, then I'll get to take part in their lifetime "free" brake pad offer and they can sell me exhausts and tyres every time I go in!! Woo Hoo!

I once worked in a garage where someone came to use after having a car serviced at National Tyres. Just an oil change, the guy picked it up and drove it down the road, only for the oil filter to drop off and oil to spill all over the floor and blow the engine to pieces.
