ked. I work full time nights, I have to drive at night to get to work. If I am banned from driving at night and have to switch to day shift, whom may I ask is going to make up the difference in my pay? No one, b
ds!!! They can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

You would be able drive at night if you had a good reason, like work, allegedly. Seeing your mates would not be allowed.

And 1/3rd of deaths are under 25... So whats going to be done about the other 2/3rds? And what is the average life expectancy? 75? so thats neatly a third of your life.
Sorry if thats a bit of a ramble, been a long day and stuff like this really pisses me off, hope you get my point
This is just silly. I started a driving job, 2 weeks after my driving test. I start at half 6 in the morning and work until 7. So for me it would involve a loss of hours, and money. They're just taking the easy route out. Why not revoke the license from the old 'uns that tootle along at 40mph EVERYWHERE. It's the main cause of problems.
Sorry for the rant, and woop first post.

We seem to be doing quite well tbh.
UK Road Deaths vs Time

Perhaps one simpy needs to accept that when 1.5 tonne slabs of metal are moved around at a fair old speed accidents do happen.
Not sure why we need to get excited about following Australia and the US:

The UK has a good record for road safety compared with most other EU countries. In 2006 it had one of the lowest road death rates in the EU, at 5.4 per 100,000 population. The UK rate was also lower than the rates for other industrialised nations such as the United States (14.3 per 100,000 population), Australia (7.8 per 100,000 population) and Japan (5.7 per 100,000 population).
^The ideal stat is how many accidents per 'driving population' (rather than per 100,000 generic population).'By Daily Mail Reporter' = 'We Reprinted A Press Release Verbatim Without Asking Questions Because We Agreed With It'. No name in the byline - dead giveaway.
I don't see any actual evidence in this 'article', just something that'll please grumpy Middle England Meldrews who wear ties and tanktops to mow the lawn on Sunday and hate anyone under 30. Typical Daily Wail.
