Random night drive?

Anybody do this?

At present i'm watching This is England 86' just putting off bed as i know i wont be able to sleep (lots of stuff in my head and feeling pretty crap really)

Contemplating taking the sheets off the chariot and just going out till the petrol light comes on....

yeah, I've done it a few times to get over stuff...

feels great when you're out there, then you get home with an empty tank and it all comes flooding back, then you realise you're screwed for work in the morning as you've left it on fumes!!

Luckily i won't have the fumes problem, the Jag doesnt work for a living

Yeah I've done that a few times; find it relaxing. Or just call a mate up and go for a drive, that's always a good night out!

i dont do random drives bt if i am going out at night for some food sometimes i iwll take the very long route to chill out to some music

mind you i do it during the day sometimes too.

Can't beat a good night drive.

Once did a full loop of the lakes one night on motor bikes, with a mate.

I left a few mates home one night at about 2 or 3am, ended up falling asleep at their house..

Woke up at about 6am and decided to head home, middle of the summer, clear morning, not a car on the road..

It took me quite a while to get home!

I have done in the past, used to go out with a few mates and get each person to pick which way to go at a junction or roundabout (e.g. first mate says go left at the next roundabout we get to, next one says go right at the next junction etc) found it was a good way to go on a random drive. A little oddball yet, but good fun

Not for me, as you can't see as far ahead, have to dip lights for oncoming traffic etc.

Recently went for a quick spin at 11pm, was 5am when I finally got to bed. Found some awesome roads that night, deep dark country side, lots of wildlife (Managed to get 3 rabbits on that drive alone..)

Then the week after went for a drive to cheer someone up and ended up in scarborough at 3am!

I do it when I can afford petrol to do it.

it's so good just driving about, even in the city, low/no traffic, just being able to sit back, relax in your own space. And if something on your mind I find somewhere dark to just sit, engine off, no lights, just chill.


so good having your own place to just be on your own (that isn't a house) and think about things.
