OMG, I don't mind heights but that is something else.
I think I'd need to be wearing a parachute just in case I slip, never a better time to learn base jumping.

I'd recommend they start letting these guys base jump off the towers. Must be marvellous fun.

I've climbed up the inside of a 1200 foot one of them. biggrin In Nigeria...
I couldn't get far enough away to get a photo of the full height;

Currently working in the Fall Protection Market, it's very interesting.

Commentary is wrong though, you don't need to 'Free Climb' because it's faster. There's dozens of rail and cable systems that don't require you to clip on every few feet, the shuttle just follows you up (but locks if you fall). That tower has a system in the first part of the climb but I was surprised it didn't have one on the external last part, meaning that external climb is one of the most dangerous I've seen yikes


Good to see the following guy using our equipment though (Sala harness and Protecta Lanyard)

As a statistic, India has around 5 fall related deaths a week from Radio and Wind Towers and still they don't issue safety equipment at all.
