It's not something I'd go out and buy with my own cash, but if space for minimum outlay on a brand new car is the overiding concern it's a good deal, if not the most exciting.

So what? A new car with a manufacturer's warranty that you can run for four years or so with no bills other than servicing? Let's say after four years it's worth £2K trade in. That's £2K a year to run a modern, new car.

That's depreciation people can live with I'd say...

Porsches may be worth a larger percentage of new cost as older cars - but the absolute depreciation in cash terms will be lots higher because they cost more.
