Hope someone can help me understand whats gone wrong.

Car is a Ford Fiesta driving back from Manchester yesterday, car just cut out showing Engine management, Oil light and battery light.

Oil is low but between the two markers so not dangerously low.

Had a new PCM fitted recently due to EAC fail, mechanic at road side said its in limp mode, but it wouldn't move it idles but then it chugs when you try to rev it and dies.

Can anyone give me a better idea than my local Ford dealer can at the moment.

Thanks

Mike

Engine stalls I would expect oil Light and battery light - after all it's not running so has no oil pressure and alternators not turning so no battery charging

I have no idea what a PCM or EAC are and if a mechanic at the road side said its in limp mode then a Ford or good specialist dealer is eactly where I'd be taking it - if they can't code read the fault then you really do have a problem. Like most car faults it's very hard to diagnose the problems on a brief decription
