You do realise that posting that link is metaphorically like standing in front of a mirror and repeating three times:

300bhp/tonne
300bhp/tonne
300bhp/tonne

Sounds good but it's a shame those cars are so ugly. I would imagine they don't like corners much either.

There's plenty of better V8 options

I imagine there are, but aren't these designed to be run and maintained by the average Joe? BMW/Jag/etc V8's are expensive to maintain...

LHD - you will have hard time taking tickets from car park machines and other such things.

Hmm, is it a car to be used for a motorway hack? I would possibly get a diesel for the motorway cruising and save the V8 for hoons......

Lots of boring reasons it's a bad idea. However, life would be boring if we relied on boring, sensible stuff all the time. I say go for it!

You get a bullet-proof, low maintenance 5.7 V8 with 350+bp from stock. Capability to have as much power as your funds allow and there are more tuning options than you can shake a stick at. What's not to like?

LHD and almost always auto in the UK I guess. They are quite big as well. I'd like one if I could find a suitable one for sensible money but it would have to be a 6-speed manual. Plenty of suspension mods and upgrades to allow you to harrass M3's etc.

I'd prefer one to a Mustang I think, if only because the LS series engines are so good. They sound quite nice too hehe

Yeah it's the LS engine that appeals, I'd probably look at LPG if I could get it.

I imagine servicing costs buttons as well, plus no one will know what it is... Getting more tempted by the day!

It's basically a LHD Monaro but for a fair few grand less (it's obviously several years older too).
