I found one of these for sale locally for $10,000....

I have no idea why, but I want this SO badly. I have no idea what I would do with it. I do have somewhere I could keep it. I need some creative ideas of things I could actually do with a monstrous military wrecker truck!
It has a Cummins 855 (14 Litre) naturally aspirated diesel, does about 60mph tops, and gets 4-5mpg.

FYI the scrap value for the steel is $6000, so potential loss is not TOO bad if things go completely wrong!!

Buy it now! I have been eyeing up a Re0o M35 Whistler for a while but it might be a little tight in town!

There is no justification.

The only thing that stops me getting something like that is where the hell to put it... and you've got that sorted.

Just do it!

If ever there were riots everywhere, and it was every man for himself in order to survive (post apocalyptic style.. Like in the films), you would have a perfect vehicle for driving through things. Alternatively, buy a tank. Enough justification? biggrin

Have you got a pic of it parked next to a normal car so we can get an idea of the scale?

$6000 dollars for the steel, how is that, you only get 50 quid for a car shell, ok that is a lot lot heavier and in dollars but $6000 still sounds a lot, how much does it weigh ?

I'll get a picture with my Jeep next to it for you guys. It's big. Very big.

Not sure how the $6000 figure came about, but that was info from the guy selling it. I'd certainly be checking that with the scrap metal place in town! It weighs 17 tons FYI eek

I think the question you need to ask yourself is "How do I justify NOT buying this awesome vehicle'.

MUCH larger lumps and better grades of steel will be worth more than the usual paper thin lace work on most cars.
