Parking ticket dilemma.

So due to general crapness I got a parking ticket, but through some even more general crapness is have misplaced the parking ticket, and thus loosing the ticket issue number.

How does one go about paying this? Will they have my outstanding fine on database, and phone call will sort it out? Or is a trip to the council offices?

Is it definitely a council ticket? If so, they probably do have a list at the town hall.
