focus tdci dpf

just bought a 2006 focus 1.8 tdci sport does any one know if these have the dpf iv heard so much about?

I shouldn't have, I think they only put the DPF on the 1.6 and 2.0 models.
You can check buy seeing if there is a small tank to fill the fluid underneath next to the fuel tank

Or you could look on the V5 and see which emission level you have.

EURO 4 - No DPF.
EURO 5 - DPF.

Whats DPF? I had a 2006 1.6 TDci, I've now got a 2010 1.8 TDci.

Diesel Particulate Filter. Filters soot particles from the exhaust gasses. And yes its only 1.6 TDCI and 2.0 TDCI engines that have DPF filters. The 1.8 TDCI doesnt.
