How can i lower my insurance?
Discussion
I know im not the only person in the world who has high insurance but im wondering how i can actually lower it without having to wait years. Im 20 years old had my licence 3 years and i have 1 year NCB currently my cheapest quote is £680ish with a £100 excess with endsleigh (or £500 if fully comprehensive). The car is a 1.2 16v Corsa B worth around £400 most places iv tried are quoting around £900. Thanks for any tips

Thats fairly cheap if you ask me, when I was 21 with 2 years NCB on a s
t heap old turbo diesel mk3 golf, I was paying £1500 3rd part f+t. The year before it was £2000. and the year after they actually wanted more then the second year.
ETA - These were the chepest quotes going at the time and were with Quinn Direct, which turned out to let you drive any* car with the owners permission.

- I think it was no off road vehicles, jeeps and the like or vans and stuff tho. I remember driving my dads 525 on R plates on my own insurance. I think they went bust tho, cant imagine why lol.

Buy a classic car and join the OwnersClub, let them know you do reduced mileage because it's always broken down. And tell them you're a very good driver, except on Wednesdays.
Yep, if you get an old mini and insure with a classic insurer e.g. footman james it will be pretty cheap. but be aware that you may not build up any NCB so it's possibly not the best long term solution.Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
