Picked the Mondeo up yesterday.

Nice car indeed, got a very good deal out of the stealer including 6 months tax, mats and a full tank of fuel, plus an extra £400 on my part ex.

Got a relative who owns a garage to check it out, only minor fault is the pads will need changing in the next 6 or 7 thousand miles, but aside from that, appears aio.

Couldnt get the cruise to work on the way home, need to check that today, but it appears a nice car

That sounds like a bonus - get used the car as is, then go for the upgrade

Nice car. I guess it's a 6 speed facelift model. Maybe the cruise control has been unhooked. Had an earlier Mondeo where they'd done that.

Can't remember the last time I used cruise but I think you switch it on on one side then set speed with a button on the other side.

The throttle cable had come off mine the first time I used it. I suspect it had never been used in the 5 years previous.
