Hi guys,
I rarely do post on here, just a lurker most of the time.
However, due to recent circumstances, I am required to purchase another car.
Budget is 1000 - 1500 pounds.
Needs to be;
- Reliable
- Economical
Can be petrol/diesel, as I'm not too sure which would save me more money.
I am 21, 1 year NCB, doing roughly 350 miles per week.
Currently driving a 106 Peugeot, will be looking to get rid of that.
Thank you in advance!

What sort of thing? Eg small hatch/mildly sporty etc.
If it's a longish commute perhaps something like a ZX volcane td? If it needs to be bigger than that, a Mondeo of some description. You can get early mk3's for that money but they'll probably have interstellar mileages. Don't know anyone with a bad word to say about them though, and know someone whose Y-plate Mondeo is coming up to the 300,000 mark and still going strong.
If the money for insurance is there, luxo-barge. Lexus LS400? Old 5-series?
Or, of course, an MX5

That budget could only get mostly high mileage diesels in old tax bands. Check these out:I rarely do post on here, just a lurker most of the time.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.
I'll been reading through some older threads, not sure if the prices are still in the similar range at the current moment, but can anyone comment on the following;
Vectra SRi
Mondeo
Fabia
TDi Octavia
ST24 Mondeo
Volvo 850 T5
Volvo S40 T4
Saab 9-5
Saab 9000
Focus
No specific requirements regarding car type, Estate, hatchback, saloon, anything will do. :]
Thanks again!
