Aero wiper replacement of Standard wipers

Its time for some new wipers for my car.

I have seen the new "Aero Blade" type wipers advertised as replacement for my standard wipers. I normally use Bosche brand wipers. I have used PIAA silicon wipers in the past, but although effective I found them very expensive and short lived.

Are the aero blade wipers better ? sa

I popped a set on my Evo. They certainly work very well. In my experience they don't seem to streak as much.

They certainly work well enough for me to equip my other cars with them when they need new wipers.

tesco do aero wipers for literally a couple of quid and they work very well.

Yet to try them myself but I have heard them being recomended many times by lots of folk.

Every car I buy the first thing I do is change the wipers to Bosch Aero Twin. They look so much better than the originals and work better to.

I have put these on my Omega recently. They work in that they clear the screen the same as any other wiper. But I have found the water spills off the end and leaves a trail of water in an arc across the screen. Probably wouldnt bother most people but for some reason it annoys me so I wont be using them again.

Even aero ones don't stick to the screen properly at anything above 120 mph.

They seem to be fitted to most new cars nowadays too

I replaced mine with aeros, they definitely make a difference. The standard ones would smear in light rain but these clear the screen brilliantly.

I've just taken some off my wife's 147. They've never been very good, but they were Ebay specials rather than Bosch.
Replaced them with the standard spec Champion ones. I always thought the connector which joins the aero blades to the standard arms made the arms sit a bit awkwardly so maybe they didn't have as much pressure on the screen as they should do. They always looked clumsy too - not like aero blades on the correct arms which most modern cars use.

The Ebay specials aren't very good. Bosch are better. Still prefer the good old Bosch Super Plus standard-style blades, though.

By that speed you turn the wipers off, and let the rain-ex do its stuff.

Ebay cheap flat wipers start to split quite quickly, had a set on my old 307.

Just fitted flats on my 206 and gone with wiperblades.co.uk's own branded ones, had them on a Mondeo two years back, my old man has them on his 307. Really good quality for the price, £14 and arrived within 24 hours.
