Temporary Insurance - Under 21s

I'm planning on buying a new car at the weekend but getting it back is going to be a problem. The person who was going to drive it back for me has had something come up and can't make the drive and I'm struggling to find another person to do the drive for me which left one option, getting temp insurance for the day.

I thought this would be easy but there don't seem to be ANY companies who will insure a 20 year old for the day. I've scoured google with no avail and was hoping someone would be able to come up with a company who would.

I don't want to take out a full police yet as I need to sell my existing car and then will pay the policy off in full. Also trying to avoid montly policies as I don't fancy forking out £300 when I literally only need it for the day.

Any ideas?
