Didn't know where to stick this but here seems as good as any since it's partially car related.

I got caught with show plates on my car a few years ago and immediately stuck the legal plates over the top with double sided tape. I've since switched to permanently having the legal plates on the car but the show plates have been left with double sided tape residue on them - any ideas how I can remove this please without damaging or scratching the plates?

Thanks, AyBee.

WD40 and scrape with a credit card should do the trick.

Tar and Glue Remover on a soft cloth (that you don't need to use again as it hums!)

Maplins is your shop.

Servisol Label Remover 130 is what you need.

Great stuff that dissolves just about all types of glue without any harm.
