i need some toyo r888's.
i need 245 x 16"
this is an unusual size and no one seems to have any stock. does anyone know who keeps a big stock of toyo's?
can anyone recommend any alternatives.
dunlop, yoko, and avon don't do that size, i don't want michelin or kumho's
am i best to go for 225 dunlops? and reduce tyre width.

Why don't you want the Kumho V70a? You'll probably find everyone who has driven in anger on them has nothing but praise for them (though they're not the best road tyre, if you're a road poser)

i want a good result in my next race and everyone seems to use toyo dunlop or yoko. so don't want to stray to far from that.
i don't like the way i have to order from camskill, why cant i just pay over the phone?

FWIW, the only comparative tyre test I've seen was from 2007, and the Kumhos offered more dry grip than any other tyre (including the R888).
The hard compound Kumho perhaps isn't the best tyre for the ultimate laptime, but they offer a softcompound which I imagine would be rather handy in a race.
That said, you hit the nail on the head - just use what everyone else is using. The Dunlops are an excellent tyre.
