im entering this as it doesnt really seem to make sense....proven by how many they have sold....

i imagine its a very nice car....but at 100k new.... they must be aiming at say the middle east who love their 4x4s, or people with a lot of spare cash to burn...now who out of these people would care about petrol running costs? and i havn't seen many rich arabs driving diesels....

entries please!

Good point. I cycle up and down Hamilton Terrace most days. It's in St John's Wood and is basically a row of mansion/town houses owned by uber-wealthy types.

Plenty of V8's and V12's, n/a, s/c and turbo'd. RR's, AMG's Fezza's, Astons, etc etc

Never any diseasls though................

I don't think this sort of heavy oil-drinking petrol engine suits the damn high road tax and fuel price in the UK.

most of those over 4L petrol engines too.

In the last couple of weeks I've seen a Hyundai Genesis driving around Kingston- it looks like a Honda Legend, that other unloved Asian Exec. If it wasn't for an article about it that Richard Porter wrote for Evo I wouldn't even have known that it existed.

The first time I saw it it was to the right of me in traffic, whilst a Cayman was to my left. The Porsche driver must have thought I was some kind of oddbod for staring at a Hyundai rather than his car!

What's even weirder is that the ad lists the retail as £76850, plus options.

And now, 20k miles and a year later they want £75k for it???

I had a mess about with the audi car configurator a while back and got one of these up to £130k!

Its quite a machine, but is it better than a brand spanking RR 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE at list? I think not.

I think you mean the Hyundai Grandeur (at least that was the one RP was writing about).
