Anyone actually heard of these? Stumbled accross a couple this morning whilst eying up Intergales. I figured the second generation was little more than a shopping car, didn't realise they produced a moderately hot one. 190 odd bhp from a turbocharded 2.0 four I think. Shame the rarity makes them so expensive, there's plenty of other things I'd be looking at before this for the price of the one in the link below. Otherwise they'd make an interesting warm hatch for a little bit of fun. Looks quite nice too.

Mods, could you move this to the Alfa, Fiat and Lancia forum?

EDIT: ignore that now!

That's a rare beastie ! Not sure about the value though, and the styling looks too much like a Megane Coupe of the same era. I wonder what it drives like ? Love the rims smile
If it was more around the £1k mark, it would be a bit tempting... I'd image it should drive pretty well, it's based on the Fiat Tipo platform which Alfa seemed to utilise pretty well with the 145/146.

I loved my 1999MY 146. I bought it in 2004 for £2,900- which makes me think the price of this is a tad optimistic!

Optimistic? You should see this one: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1956371.htm

Looks nicer in red though:

No question it looks great, and if it was RHD and more akin in price to the 146ti/ST170 etc I'd seriously consider it. That price is in line with early CTR's though.

I wonder how much they are on the continient?

Very cheap on the continent, and very well put together. I drove a 2.0 turbo HPE in Switzerland, and it was a really good drive, a very precise chassis, and plenty of power. If you can cope with LHD, then they are a really good shout for a cheap personal import.

And presumably a mark-up would be in order when it comes to sale time... Maybe not to the extent of the two linked on this thread. I do wonder though how much one for sale in the UK would really be worth?

Saw this last week and thought it would be quite an interesting buy!

Pretty much echo'd the comments here too, bit expensive and maybe looks better in another colour

You can always sell it back to the Continent. France, Belgium and Holland are all in easy travelling distance for someone, and it would be easy to re-register it in any of those countries.

Think you've misunderstood a bit, I meant a mark-up would be in order when it comes to reselling it in the UK, as mentioned in previous posts they are supposed to be cheaper on the continent, so I wouldn't want to sell it back there!

Still, the main problem would be finding one over there. Had a bit of a nose on the internet (slow day yesterday...) without much success...

Fiat Coupe 16V turbo engine in a Bravo sized three door hatch. On paper it sounds good but in reality not as quick as the 'grale and less dynamic than the Bravo 2.0 16V (forget the HGT unless you like underpowered understeer) and due to being imports only expencive.

I'd buy one in a heart beat because it's a Lancia Delta. wink
