Admiral no claims question
Discussion
I've been with Admiral for a few years and have built up some NCB with them, the last year of which was one of those 10 months policies where you get a full years no claims. I understand that not all other companies acknowledge this as a full years NCB.
Renewal time and Admiral are quoting £400 more than Elephant for the same level of cover. It goes without saying that's too much of a difference to ignore but I was wondering if Elephant will recognise the accelerated NCB?

Phone them and tell them you have a quote from their sister company. They can check to validate what you're saying, and should match that price for you.
It's funny you should say that; at my renewal a couple of years ago I was with Admiral and at renewal i got a better quote from Bell than Admiral (for a like-for-like quote). The chap at Admiral couldn't match the quote and i ended up going with Bell! I probably spoke to the 'Bell' girl sat next to the 'Admiral' chap paying my premium!Strange business, insurance.

Certainly, last renewal, that's what they done for me.
Same for me, every year when my Admiral renewal came through, I would get a quote online and Elephant would be cheapest. I'd then ring Admiral, give them the quote reference, and they'd match it. For some reason though, this year (my renewal is today in fact), I couldn't get a quote as good as my renewal. Phone them and tell them you have a quote from their sister company. They can check to validate what you're saying, and should match that price for you.

However, I rang Admiral, asked them if that was the best price they could do, saying that I didn't want to move if I didn't have to, happy otherwise, blah blah etc. The chap had a word with his manager, and then knocked £40 off my £370 premium. Happy days! Don't ask, don't get...

As above I had the same situation come renewal time, Admiral will match Elephant without the hassle of changing.
Just got around to doing this, spent a few minutes on the phone making sure the details I had entered to get the Elephant quote matched my renewal etc and all sorted - Admiral matched with no problems.Cheers folks.
