Extraordinary skill and recklessness from a cyclist today
Discussion
As I turned in to Holloway Road from the Archway junction today, I saw in my passenger side mirror a bicycle that appeared to be riderless. A second glance showed a foot on the saddle. I came to a halt in the traffic and, as the bike came past the side of the car, I saw that there were two feet, one on the saddle and one on the crossbar. Once the bike had passed in front of me all became clear: a balding, late 20s/early 30s bloke in a T shirt and jeans was surfing on a bicycle down Holloway Road in rush hour traffic. He was standing on the saddle and crossbar as if on a snowboard and steering the same way, using slight shifts of weight.
The skill displayed was highly impressive. The degree of recklessness was insane.

I wonder how much trouble I would get in if I tried that on my R6
Exactly. The stupidity of some cyclists never ceases to amaze me.
How on earth could he react to anything unexpected, other than by jumping off.

tThere is a time and a place for such antics, and Holloway road in the rush hour isnt it, no matter how "gnarly"
it was.bigandclever said:

I used to be a BMXer, capable of a number of stunts, and I'm not scared of heights, but that video left me somewhat puckered..!!
