....and it wasn't on fire.

It was however simply stunning and an awful lot smaller than I imagined. Black probably made it look a fair bit smaller.

An absolutely stunning machine. I'm just not sure if they are worth the £160k???

One thing that stood out is how much of a leap up from the F430 they are, it really does make it look dated, something that the F430 didn't do to the 360 IMO.

First one I saw was at Goodwood - I believe it's an Ecurie25 car?

Since hanging around here I've seen almost every exotic close up, but this was one of the few cars I've ever seen that actually made me stop and drink it all in. I particularly love that rear wing and how it flows over the rear wheel like a girl's hips...

I see my first 458 today also, I had reserved judgement on it until i'd seen one in the real, as in pictures i thought they were a horrid looking car!
In the real though it was a real nice looking car that just looked right in every way, very nice indeed.....

Makes the car look short and fat,

It was taken, quite deliberately, with a wide-angle lens.

I happen to think that the photo you linked to is massively over-processed.

They are beautiful. I'm not normally over fussed about Ferraris but I spent ages just staring at a red one that was on display at a show earlier in the year. Theres no angle from which it looks anything other that incredible.

Agreed. Best Ferrari since 308/328. Quite big in the metal - would dwarf the older cars.
