Doesn't look like it's in the swept area of the wipers, so I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

There is a degree of obscuration, given its size.

But that part of the glass has been structurally compromised and will be much weaker than the required strength to keep an airbag, or passenger, in the car.

My old Rover had a massive crack in the top corner of the screen, not just a single crack, but a load of cracks spreading around 8 inches from the corner of the screen. The car only cost me £100 and I very much doubted it would pass based on the screen.
I thought I'd ask anyway and the MOT tester said the screen would pass fine!!! and then failed the car on a tiny rusty hole!!!

These days it's not a windscreen inspection, where you stand outside of the vehicle and look at the windscreen from the outside in (Autoglasses TV advert in this respect is wrong as their (actor) tester is using the wrong method of inspection). The tester has to sit in the drivers seat and assess the view of the road through the windscreen.

In my opinion any damage low down where it only affects the view of the bonnet, or high up where it only affects the view of the sky is a pass and advise. The delamination shown in the photo in my opinion is a pass, as it is not affecting the drivers view of the road.

Unfortunately the MOT only takes into account the windscreens optical properties and not its structural properties, which limits the decisions as to what the tester can make.

Agree with this but can't the tester fail the car if they feel the integrity of the screen (strength etc) has been compromised ?

If you have problems with a winsdcreen re MOT the key thing is the swept area, so for eg if you have a problem on the passenger side eg a crack, if you remove the wiper from the passenger side, its no longer in the swept area, hence it will pass. You can also adjust the wiper arm so it no longer sweeps as far as the damaged section.

It might sound crazy but I have done this in the past and it works.

Nope. I can fail it for a Magic Tree though.

a mate got a pound coin size chip near the lower corner on nearside screen, passed MOT without problem.
