Castor, Camber, Toe. Which order do I do these???

I've been looking up how to adjust my own Suspension geometry, I read somewhere it had to be done in a certain order, but now I can't find the website!!!

Can anybody tell me the order I do these? Thanks

I have no idea, but I must say you're brave. In the wrong hands I imagine the potential to monumentally screw this up is colossal.

Serious question, but why not just take it to a garage with a good 4 wheel laser alignment bed, pay them £50 to set it up (on thier £70k machine!) to your figures, and save a lot of time and hassle, and be assured the job is 100%

If you are going to do it yourself, can you really measure:

Axle offset, axle alginment,wheelbase alignment, thrust line/axis offset, camber/castor/toe/, steering induced camber, etc etc accuratly to within a minute/0.01mm?

Yes you can do it at home, with some spirit level gauges and a straight edge, or bits of string etc, but what a ball-ache! I do most of my own work on my cars, but geometry is one of those critical areas where it really pays to do the job right first time, using the best kit available.

It is great to have an appreciation & understanding of all your geometry, but it is vital to get it set up properly IMHO!

yes I know it would be a lot easier to take it to a garage and get them to do it, but I'd like to be able to make adjustments myself without having to pay £50 each time and having to cart it off to the garage!
