Quick question for a colleague, He is looking to sell his Clio privately it’s a 2007 (07) 1.2 16V Rip Curl 5dr Hatchback with 56000miles. One owner from new.

How much do you think he will get for it and what do you think he should advertise it for.

Cheers,

Dave

trade i'd estimate £2.5-3K, also not taking the cars condition into the equation

I'd say that's retail - 3995 will buy you one with far fewer miles.

Thank you for all of your replies, I will let him know tomorrow. I will tell him to put it up for around 4500 with a view to accepting around 4000.

I will tell him to put it on autotrader and here.

Thanks for the help again.

Selling it privately he should be looking to accept around £3.5K. Still put it up for about £4.5K and try to get round there but dealers can have their retail alot higher because they can provide warranties, you can go back to them if there's a problem, they have a workshop to ensure the cars condition etc.
