e39 530i VS e39 530d - Comparisons, experiences and advice

Right, I still want a V8 in my life but need to be sensible at the moment. I've been looking at the e39 530d recently. I've always liked the e39 and think it still looks modern and fresh even today. Ideally I'd love to go for a 530i petrol but that would get quite expensive when used for commuting to work. So, I starting thinking about a 530i that has been converted to LPG. It would need to have already been converted profesionally as I dont think it would be worth me getting it done.

I've been trying to find comparisons between the e39 530d and 530i LPG conversion but have had no luck. I wonder of anyone can point me in the direction of any reviews. I'm particulary interested in things like effect on performance, reliability and crucially cost per mile. If anyone has experience of running an LPG 530i that would be good too. I'd be interested to hear about any potential issues too.
