Cheap thrills!

Can any of you well informed individuals suggest a selection of cars for my consideration based on the following specs?

Price range: £2000 - £7000
Body style: Coupe, hatchback or convertible
Fuel: Petrol
Transmission: Manual or Semi-auto
Doors: 2-3
Seats: 2 or 2+2
0-60: 4-7secs
Top speed: 120-160mph

Basically, I want something that's fun to drive, eye-catching but also reliable. Any suggestions are much apprecaited! I've already owned a MK2 MR2 and I currently own (due to previous financial constraints) a stunning Nissan Primera SRi! Woop!!

Pretty wide set of criteria.

At the top end of the budget, you're looking at things like an S1 Elise, Boxster 2.7 (maybe a leggy 'S') and E36 M3 Evo.

At the bottom end, well, you could have my Jag if you want?

A friend of mine recommended a Renault Clio Sport 172 or 182. What's the general consensus? French cars have never been very well built. Is this the case with the Clio?

1.6 20V with ITB's and a weight of only 1000kg with 175hp standard and can be picked up for just over 2k I should know as im selling one
