Cars/Years Driving Ratio

Just realised I've had 18 cars in 18 years of driving giving me 1:1. I think this is quite poor.

11 cars in 16 years for me, although for the last eight years I've had at least two cars at a time, sometimes three.

Had to write them down to work out the ratio, so I am 44...and cars owned; roughly in order...and several overlaps.

11 cars in 14 years since I passed my test, though I was a student for three of those and never drove so it's 11 in 11 or 1:1.

Think it'll probably stay like that too - can't seem to keep a car for more than six months these days!

3 years of driving, 5 cars. Soon to be 6 though. Which will bump me up to a nice even 2:1.

I think with the cost of insurance these days the ratio will only get lower and lower. I think my dad had 20 cars between 17-20 (including a Jag Mk2 and an E-type that cost him 1 week's wages and didn't last much longer before it died!) but I'm on about 12 in 12 years and 8-10 bikes.

I had 20 odd cars in the last 5 year period though.

I bought them and ran them and when things started going wrong,i sold them for what i paid or a hundred or so more.
