Recently travelling north on the M6 near to Sandbach, in the middle lane doing about 65-70 and passing some HGV's my wife shouted ,he's coming out. The next thing is this wagon has hit us and nearly sent us into the outside lane, I managed to hold the car straight and back to the middle and eventually stopped on the hard shoulder. The wagon was flashed by a few cars and he eventually stopped. It turned out he was Hungarian in a LHD wagon, did not see us, and the only English he knew was good evening. Police attended and said Oh it happens all the time, sorted out all his details for me, fortunately no one hurt just my wife's car. So be warned ,watch out for the Left Hookers!!!

The blind spot that exists midway down the trailer is very similiar in both left and right hookers in reality.

Glad you are OK and it wasn't any worse.

Left hookers and blind spots. I never hang around passing them, wait till I can pass so I am not stuck along side and read the road ahead of the wagon. Do as much second guessing of the driver as possible. Do it for UK wagons as well.

Was travelling up the M40 yesterday afternoon when I was in the midle lane & was about to overtake a foreign artic when I was within 20 foot when he suddenly signalled & pulled straight in front of me although luckilly no was in the outside lane so I quickly pulled onto it otherwise I would have had to lock up my wheels causing a possible pile up behind me.frown
