Honda parts availability?

My Mum is looking for a new (used) car as she says her micra feels too small and tinny
I was thinking about trying to get her a Honda, but I was wondering what its like for getting hold of parts?
I remember I had a Toyota for a while and you were pretty much screwed for spares apart from going to a main dealer
Apart from the Toyota I've always had German or French cars, and found that places like GSF and Euro Car Parts were a Godsend
Are there any places that do cheap parts for Honda?

Same as any other car I'd say.
I did CV boots a month or so back on my Civic. Honda were expensive so I bought the boots from a local motor factor, and all of the nuts and bolts from the dealer. The nuts and bolts were generally standard parts, but it's easier from the dealer, because they always come exactly the right size and length.
When I say the dealer is expensive, I bought the boots from the factor at £30 for all four. At the dealer they were £30 each!

You'll probably find all the bits you would want to replace yourself at Euro car parts, I know they list VW, Mercedes, BMW etc, but as most parts are OEM, they will probably fit. Go on their site and enter the reg, see what parts are listed, anything else Honda dealer, their prices are always reasonable.
Service parts are quite cheap. e.g. brake pads on my S2000 are £40 or so.
Some of the S2000 parts aren't cheap but things like Civic's etc. should be OK.
It's not as if you'll need them often. My Honda runs and runs with little problem, my Vauxhall on the other hand cost me a small fortune this year despite having "cheaper" parts.....
