As a lad my mate's dad had one. Same colour but with a manual box.
It was properly quick and he was a bit of a lad in it - his favourite trick was to pull away slowly in 1st so that we'd bemoan the lack of an emergency start, then pop it into second and leave a set of 11's in our wake. Good days, good days.

Went to see one of these years ago when I lived on Jersey. Had no real intention of buying it, but when I sat in it and turned it over, the V8 rumble just won me over and £500 squid changed hands very quickly.
What a superb car! Loved it for about 2 years then sold it for £550, result!
Definitely a V8 itch scratched. Happy days!
