Hi
I'm off to France on Thursday (Erquy, Brittany)in my Silver Shadow II. Does anyone know what impact the current strikes are having in that department wit regards to fuel availability? I know there are several PHers who live in Northern France.
Thanks
Andrew

On another forum i use, a guy living in france says the fuel is slowly running out, queues for stations are really big and if your travelling here, fill up in england and take extra fuel in approved containers.

A radio station 107.7fm on the peages is giving informations about it. Even in english.

hope that helps in any way. smile

Got a fourteen year old daughter, on an exchange trip near Lyon at the moment and due to fly home on Tuesday, so fingers crossed that she gets home okay.

She's pretty homesick, so hope she's not delayed.....

She got back fine so they can carry on now!

Wonder how long it will be before retailers use it as an excuse to put up prices here....

Just heard from a mate of mine in France via Facebook, who tells me that the situation there is pretty bad and just as portrayed in the British media. Damn. That ruins my RR driving on Brittany's lovely empty roads, as I'll be conserving fuel instead. frown

Couple of French transatlantic aircraft have dropped into Manchester on their way in and out of CDG over the past few days.

Morning, has anyone got any new info re actual availability of fuel (petrol) French side.

Parents are at their house near Fontenay le Comte (couple hourse south of Le Mans), looking to come back to England via Calais over the weekend.

Fuel will be needed circa Rouen, either A28 or A13.

Alternatively a different ferry route will have to be looked at if it saves driving distance; does anyone know if the ports are still functioning properly?

Cheers
