Long term rentals?

Hi,

I've been looking at leasing my next car rather than buying, but I've got a couple of CCJ's (satisfied) from 2008 and because of that, leasing in any form appears to be out.

Instead, I've recently discovered that some companies do long term rentals in blocks of 28 days (e.g. 6 x 28 days). One such company is "SimplyLease", although some of the big names like "Europcar" seem to offer a similar service.

The prices don't seem too bad, I just wondered if anybody has had any experience in this area, and could confirm that there is indeed no credit check required? In terms of paying, I can easily afford it (as I could a lease!) but my bad credit rating means anything involving a check is out...

I reffer you to the gentlemans previous post regarding a business deal going bad... we dont know the details, it could be that he is still clearing ground and needs a presentable car for business?

I would guess that it's just like normal car hire so as long as you can support the initial 28 days payment and deposit either with a hold on a credit card or full payment up front by debit card, then there shouldn't be any problem.
