Dodge Reveals 300C With Viper V10
Video in a car park is dull; the car far from it
This is one to file under 'they should have made a long time ago'. It is a Chrysler 300C with none other than a Viper - sorry, SRT10 - V10 dropped into the engine bay. Even though the video has all the hallmarks of a distinctly amateur project it hails from official Dodge blog site Red Letter Dodge - which presumably means it's an official, or at least officially backed, project.
Normally, when we bring you news of a saloon car with an absurdly chunky engine it's done by a third party tuner, but given this video's official source the V10 300C might just be a factory project.
Will it be headed for a Chrysler/Dodge showroom near you? We doubt it, but we're pretty certain that there's something more interesting to come from Dodge - if only a more exciting video (which wouldn't be difficult)...
Discussion
As entertaining as it would be for 5 minutes I'm pretty damn sure its only real skill would be atomising tyres; let's face it, it's an old E-class with a decidedly whiffy image in the UK.
Would almost rather Dodge focused their efforts on making cars that people want to buy and making themselves some profit.

As good as the Viper engine is, the SRT-8 Engine isn't exactly lacking in power opportunities.
I would of thought making the car all together tauter with sharper handling to a good manual gearbox would do the job. Dare I say, take it more down the Vauxhall VXR8 route.
Nice Engine though.
