Evening all,

I wonder if any of you can help me. I would like to remove the old and worn out pedal rubbers on my car and replace them with brand spanking new ones. I have ordered some replacements online at a very reasonable price.

My question is - how does one go about changing them? Do you just lift/pull/twist the old ones off and lever the new ones on? Is any degree of technique/skill required?

The car is a manual Porsche 993 with floor-hinged pedals and I will only be changing the clutch and brake rubbers.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, we're a very helpful and interesting lot.

Regards the pedal rubbers, the best way to get them off is set about them with a blow torch. Then once the smoke has cleared simply slide the new ones on. smile

Usually a slip-over rubber, sometimes held with easily pulled away rubber-base glue. Assembly is usually a reverse of dismantling.

Take it to your nearest OPC Centre (Official pedal cover). You need a special tool to do this. It's called a Porsche technician. Job done.
