Has any one else noticed that every new shape scirocco constantly have their headlights on?

Everyone i have seen constantly have their lights on daytime or not...and its not DRLS either.

Anyone else noticed this strange phenomenon?

Faulty auto headlights or just a tendancy to annoy on coming road users?

You decide!!!

PArt of the daylight running lights idea I think but they've gone the whole hog and put the headlights on too but at a lower power than it would be if you actually put the headlights on.

It is possible to switch them off but it requires connection to a laptop I believe.

Over-sensitive auto headlights like most modern VW's?

Hi there,

Yes, the headlights are constantly on. Whether the headlight switch is turned to off, auto, or headlights the lights are still on.
I have done 45,000 miles in mine now and I have stopped counting how many drivers coming the other way flash me because I have my lights on in the day.

I believe that you can get the dealer to program them to be turned off, but it doesn't bother me so I have never asked my dealer.

Regards

Tim

What autofocus said. I can't turn the buggers off. Makes you wonder what the "Off" position on the switch is for.

And the "Auto" position if that's the case!?

There's one in my street. It's lights can be turned off. I've seen it.

Worst is audi's tho. Night time. DRL's and fog lights on but the actual head lights off.

I thought this when I first got it, but there is a way to effectively make them "auto" lights. I can't remember the exact technique but it has something to do with turning on the ignition and pulling the indicator stalk down... it worked for me, my lights are only on when it is dim enough; off in daylight. I do believe it depends when your Scirocco was built though.

If anyone wants it I will dig out how to do it.
