What are they like? Seem to be very cheap second hand, an indication of how crap they are?

I have the potential for a diesel SUV for a 260 mile round trip weekly. Need an estate, would like 4WD.

Are they any good?

Rebadged Daewoo with a VM Motori diesel.

I think that's about as crap as you can get, to be honest.

Hmmmmm. Tend to agree there. I thought it was the GM CDTI diesel. Kind if hoped it was based on something like an Isuzu.

My parents have one, got a lot of kit on it for the money leather, xenons, sat nav, parking sensors etc but it drinks diesel like its going out of fashion! 27mpg on an 20 mile A road commute, also the service interval is only 12 months and there does not seem to be a great deal of knowledge about them at the stealerships.

They're a badge engineered chevy which they charge a premium for. Distinctly average in every way - to be fair, badge engineering it as being more up market with that most prestigious of things - a vauxhall badge, shows you just how crap the product is and that's exactly what it is - a product, a white good

Sold over here in Aus as a Holden Captiva. Spare parts prices are sphincter clenchingly high for some reason. If you procure one I suggest you don't bend or scrape it as that bargain initial price will be seen as your folly.

Cheers. I'll steer clear then.
