AA/RAC Vehicle Inspections? experiences/views

As title says,

Toying with the idea of one but not sure if its worth the hassle or money etc,
seen something i fancy for sale 300+ miles away so mite be worth doing so i know if its worth the travelling etc to look at/test drive /buy.
Its a 4x4 so looking at about £300 going by web site prices

what’s the views/experiences of this?

Depends on the cost of the new car, and how mechanically minded you are IMHO
