I need a shed. I can not stand another winter in an Elise and no, I am not going to man the fk up! So after browsing through Volvo diesel estate and cheap Saabs I have just lost the will to live. Help a lazy person chap with limited imagination out and find me a cheap shed. I don't have a huge budget but I could push to 1500. It needs to see me through the winter so must have enough tax and test left on it to fullfill this purpose as cheaply as possible. Would be nice to take the dog out somewhere as well so would prefer an estate. MUST HAVE HEATED SEATS. Thats its basically.

Thanks.

You can't find a shed for £1500 wtf?

How important are the heated seats?

£1500 should buy you 2 sheds to fit the purpose if you drop heated seats as a requirement.

To replicate the feeling of heated seats simply take this every morning an hour before setting off to work.

Its a mental thing. There is plenty out there but I just can't get excited about looking at them.

The wife insists that it must have heated seats so therefore its a top priority.

Good call on the omega but its a 2.5 v6 so the MPG won't be great.

get a old shape (pre 2000) mondeo ghia x

petrol model will warm up quickly, have heated leather, have a heated front screen, and have a lot of weight over the driven wheels.

alternitively, if it gets snowy, what about a passat v6 4motion? again, heated leather (better than the mondeo, I've been in both), doesn't have the heated front screen, but does have 4wd if it gets slippry by you

should be able to get either for half your budget

Volve 850/V70 Estate. Nearly all have heated seats, even fairly basic ones. Job done

Buy any suitable shed and fit a heated seat kit yourself.

Its the obvious choice though.

What are old LR Disco's like. Would be looking at one in the less than a grand bracket so hile mileage expected.

If you want it to run on a budget and not need welding or looking after then a disco for less than a grand will work out badly. I had a 90,000 mile later model and that needed constant tlc, oh and they have a bit of a thirst even in diesel form.

Actually, I just found a Baleno Estate in decent nick with 6 months tax and 12 months MOT for £500 or make an offer on ebay. If you're dog doesn't have a problem with badge snobbery then that' a very, very cheap kennel.

I do think that the 850 especially is perfect as it's the polar opposite of the Elise. Even the dash is designed to be totally usable with thick gloves on.
