Not long to go and the Director of my firm gets his new motor. I get the hand me down 535d and I can't wait to give it a full valet. How sad...

I got all the service docs out today and it has at times had two services a year, the last service included a new cat and was £1700!

BMW tell me there is no cambelt to worry about and although it does not need another service for 10k, I can give them the key which will tell me if anything needs doing.

The Boss is putting a new MOT on it next week ready for me to collect. The tyres are like new and it's got 6 months tax.

Are there any areas to be carefull with? I know these can be expensive cars to run, but it's had the pads and discs done as well so I am not sure about much else .

I know it has a media pack, TV, sat nav, leather, parking assist and a BMW system (that can be re-set) that learns your driving style... Nice!

Oh, it's been chipped (from day one) so I expect it to be....fast. I've only driven in town so I've not had the chance to stretch it's legs.

All the car you'll ever need. Had a 530d M estate in 2005 and loved it.

Looks good! I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it as I'm also thinking of getting one of these.

Your Boss spends £55,000 on a car and sells it to you for less than £10,000 at 5 years old, it's full loaded, fully serviced, chipped and put's a new MOT on it.

It's meant to go like stink and be the best "real world" car and you think that's boring.

Numpty....

That statement says quite a lot about you mate. Take my advice and refrain from posting in future, we'll think better of you for it.

I've got an idea, if you want to tell people then why not start your own thread about your cars?

I'm sure people will comment.

You have a kit car and a Land Rover and yet see fit to belittle a 535d? Poor chap.
