I do about 40,000 miles a year in the works van and use tesco for clubcard points each time I fill up.
I learned today they will be changing the points system.
It Used to be 1 point - £1 spend
They are now changing it to 1 point for every £2 spent. I'm to tight to be having this!!!!
So where can I be getting better loyalty points for my money smile
Also note the price of the fuel isn't an issue as it's bought on the works credit card.

...so if my rough workings are right (and say your van does 35mpg)

You were making approx £617 in shopping savings, and now thats going to halfed!

Not sure how that would equate in Nectar points and I only use Tescos too.

.....and they're changing the clubcard deals from X4 to X3

Guess they're feeling the pinch.

tend to use sainsburys as have one with a station attached locally, tescos now and then, but they are on the way home from some directions

have the fun of buying the fuel and claiming it back frown

glad that the govt does not want a cut, but they get that on the tax smile

I use shell. I get my airmiles with the card, 10litres = 1 airmile. Then when I'm in the car I get another 1 airmile for every £10 paid on the Amex.

Is what I used to do when I had a company car and fuel card. Was a Mitsi Galant and did benefit from the odd V power fill up.

One does have to question the morality of making money on these loyalty cards when not your money. Hell I did it too, but I admit it's more than a bit cheeky.

I use my Shell club points card twice a week to fill the truck up. Theres a maximum of 150(?) litres per fill tho that they will allow you to claim points on. The cashier told me to put the pump back on at 150 litres and start again. Did it for a while but involved some messing, including paying twice.
