Audi A4 - Central Locking Problem

Hi, I have a problem with my Audi A4 (51 Plate) where the central locking decides to continually try to lock itself. This happens when I'm both driving and when the ignition is off - even out of the car and locked with the keyfob. The lock/unlock button on the door works as expected. I have changed my keyfob for the spare I had thinking the original keyfob could be faulty.

There's no pattern or consitency to the failure and it can pause different lengths of time between attempts to lock - from instantly to a few minutes. One day it's fine the next it's constantly failing.

It could be worse - the door could be unlocking by itself! (Maybe) co-incidentally, a few days previously it had a full service, battery replaced and drivers door lifted...

Any help greatly appreciated.
