Anyone know where I could buy a childrens bed shaped like a racing car? Only catch is I want a double bed or a 3/4 double at a push.
Plenty of single ones around but cant find a double one.

It's actually for you isn't it? don't pretend its for your son.

I'm sure making one cant be too difficult. Bit of MDF, a jigsaw and a bit of paint.

ETA- dammit, beaten to it

Kirk: Singles life is great, Homer. I can do whatever I want. Today I
drank a beer in the bathroom.
Homer: The one down the hall.
Kirk: Yeah! And another great thing, you get your own bed. I sleep in
a racing car, do you?
Homer: I sleep in a big bed with my wife.
Kirk: Oh. Yeah.

i don't know the name of the company, but on abbey road, park royal, there is Unimix house, one of the units has a bedding store, they have a princess carriage bed outside, and i'm sure a racing car one in the window, might be worth a look if you passing by....

I bought my son one of these:

http://www.srbworld.com/Item/flash-sports-carbed.a...

I know it's a lot of money but it is made of moulded plastic and is very solid, a lot better than the wooden ones you can get for half the money.
I am 6ft 2 and weigh in at nearly 15 stone and I can lay down in it with no problems when I read my son his bedtime story. (Autosport biggrin)
It is delivered in self build and even that is only 4 sections along with the wooden lats for the mattress. Oh and it has LED lights and a "Nightrider" red light you can turn on with a remote keyfob. And yes given half a chance I would have one biggrin
He also has this furniture too:

http://www.the-bed-shop.com/kidsaw-racing-car-ward...

along with the 2 draw chest.

I am happy that the bed will last him a very long time due to the quality of the build and the size.
You could try the Littletikes site, they do have a larger bed on the US site but I am not sure if it is available over here.
Hope that helps.
